I just finished reading Inside IS by Jürgen Todenhöfer.
Todenhöfer spent 10 days with IS fighters in Syria and documented the journey in an easy to follow book, which gives some really interesting insights into the way the jihadists think about islam and other religions.
As IS continues to carry out attacks all over the world, I wanted to find out more about what motivates these people and I would like to encourage others to get informed as well, as the information we get from mainstream media is not always very accurate and I found it very difficult to filter the huge amount of data on the topic. Todenhöfers book gives the reader an interesting, yet easy to follow overview over the organization’s history and more in about 280 pages.
It does not take long to read, so go check it out here.
